Aquatic adventure - Devlog 2 - Update 1.1 has been released!
Hello adventurers! This day is a special day because today, yes, today, update alpha 1.1 will be unleashed on the world! Mwahahaha... sorry, I had something in my throat. Today, in this devlog, we will go through all the features that have been added in this update and also talk about the next upcoming update... alpha 1.2! So hold on to your seatbelt guys. This is gonna be a bumpy ride...
Let's get right to the point. What did this update bring to all of us?
Let's start with... new fish and new fish textures!
Yes, that's right. This update brought to you over 10 new sea creatures and 2 new textures for old fish in the game. But let's start with the new fish. Please welcome... the 5 breeds of discus fish!
Thriving in the zone called the coral reefs, this breed lives in peace and harmony with all of the little fishies of the sea (even the turtle, even though, technically, it's really not a fish) and only wants to be friends. The Red Turquoise discus (1) and the Green Tefe discus (2) want to be friends with everyone. You can find them everywhere in the coral reef, you can even find them simming peacefully together side by side! The Siam gold discus (3) isn't so friendly as the other two. It prefers to swim alone and slowly, but sometimes spends time with the other discus fish. The White Face discus (4) likes to live fast. Or at least faster than the other 3 discus fish. This discus fish is also a little rarer than the others, but can still be commonly found in the reef. Last, but not least, the Blue Knight discus fish. This breed tends to swim alone in the reef and doesn't like to make friends. Swimming fast, it gets away from the other fish, and from possible predators...

Phew! That was a lot of discus fish to cover! So much stuff I might be saying discus fish in my dreams if I carry on! For more detailed info on the game's fish and other features, visit the bottom of the page. Let's move onto the next breed of new fish... The Aquahela fish!
These fish are rare. Like the other new fish, these fish like to live in peace and harmony with all other creatures, but they have a special twist. Legend tells, that whoever would be brave enough to touch an Aquahela fish, they shall be healed by the ancient power of the Runes... Turns out this twist is true, with the blue one being more common and slower at healing and the pink being more rare and faster at healing. But everything has a flip side in this world. These fish use the power of Rune to heal, but another one uses it to harm...
This is the Striped Sea Venom and it will poison anything in it's way, even you, the humblest of travellers! If you get bitten by one you will be inflicted with the Omega rune's poison, a poison that is fast and can kill anything. Even the smallest of bites or scratches could kill a blue whale! Just keep calm, carry on and eat lots and lots of seaweed...
We also added turtles, narwhals and whales, but to check them out, click here!
Next come the new fish textures... meet the new Clownfish and Blue tang!
So we were looking at the old textures ( ) and we thought about the textures and their sizes. The clownfish was a little too big and didn't have some of the same details as the real one and the Blue tang was just WAY TOO BIG, so we decided to change them. Now they look more like the real thing.
Cool! We covered all the fish in this update! If you have ideas or any critisism on how bad the textures are, please leave a comment! It will help us a lot to know what the community thinks! Now let's forget the fish for a while, let's move on to something else...
Deep down in the deep blue sea you may find a statue lying down in the middle of nowhere. What is it doing here, and who built it? Let me touch it, heywhoaadiamond!!!!
Yes, we said we would add some new ruins and here it is! The players legend ruin! With mystical energies circling around it, if someone is brave enough to touch the statue resembling themselves, they shall be rewarded with a treasure of their wildest dreams... a diamond. These statues can be found anywhere anytime and actually seem to be a litle more common than Sandigi golem ruins! Like we said if you touch the statue you will get an awesome present, but sometimes you will find the statue has been buried underground and has shattered into a million pieces, which means no diamond. Aaaaawwww! (for more info on this structure, scroll down to the end of this page).
Cool! There were those ruins that we promised now for the introduction to... areas!
Welcome to the singleplayer world selection screen! As you might know, in this update we introduced players to areas. There are 6 unique areas to choose from (not counting the build mode area) each with it's own unique twist! To find out more info about these areas and their residents, scroll to the bottom of the page. Here are some screenshots of the areas!
Normal world
Clownfish reef
Coral reef
Jellyfish cave
Ice cliffs
Kelp jungle
Wow! 6 new areas to explore and discover! Now to the last and probably most important feature in this update...
To make it short and simple... we revamped the old building system completely and changed every single thing about it. Like we mentioned in our last devlog, the building system was getting a bit dull because you could only build out of sand and sandstone. Now, though, that is no longer the case! With a new building grid system, new build mode inventory and new blocks you can fully unleash your imagination! If you want to build a parkour track, a swimming area (forgot to mention we added swimming. More about that at the bottom of the page) or a huge handsome statue of yourself (that's what I did) you can do it with the new building system.
So that's everything that was included in this update. But what's in store for the future? I'm not telling, I guess I could leave you hanging (or you can read this super interesting artcle here that spoils absolutely everything). Thanks for reading this article and I'll see you all later! Bye!
